Community Arts Service (CAS/CAC)

Promoting the Arts in the Far North

Community Arts Council (CAC) is the funding body which utilises the funds it receives from the Far North District Council, which has received the money from Creative New Zealand.

Community Arts Service (CAS) is the operational arm of the Far North Community Arts Council and engages artists for shows and events, takes applications for funding from artists, and promotes a wide range of artistic activity.

CAS is a voluntary organisation which has a membership of people who have an interest in the arts. They welcome membership from anyone who follow the arts and from those who perform in the arts. The membership fee is $5 per year and brings with it newsletters and other benefits.
